The Yuzu are the most popular of the acid citrus used in food preparation in east asia. A tart citrus with aromatic zest often used in Japanese and Korean (where it is known as Yuja) cuisine. The juice is used as a seasoning, similar to the way a lemon is used in other cuisines. The oil from its skin is marketed as a fragrance. In Japan the fruit is sometimes used in a bath, the yuzuyu or yuzuburo - whole fruits are floated in the hot water of the bath, releasing its aroma. Made and grown locally in our little hobby greenhouse here in beautiful North Saanich on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Citrus plants make wonderful indoor plants with the clean citrus scent from their fragrant flowers and delicious citrus fruit. Living plants enhance your living space and improve the air you breathe... and they look beautiful in the process. You also get to enjoy the fresh fruit! Can be grown outdoors for much of the year, or indoors year-round. Grows well in containers. Should be brought indoors for winter or protected outdoors during the coldest days.
