Lovely Traditional Corner Curio-Display Cabinet A very nice traditional corner cabinet or cupboard from the 1920’s >1940's with a flame grain panel in the lower door. The upper section has a door with individual panes of glass and two original solid wood shelves, as well as two custom cut beveled glass display shelves - to provide the choice on which look one wants to have. To increase the brightness within the cabinet, as well as display options, both upper-interior side walls have been fitted with mirrors. I would like to add that the 2 un-used shelves (whether glass or wood) can easily be stored virtually out of sight on top of the cabinet. Which is very handy. The lower section has one solid wood shelf and enclosed sides. The exterior finish is in excellent condition. Both doors have working locks with their original 2 keys. I suspect the cabinet is from either England or New England. Size is 35" across the front (with a door opening that is 28” wide); 70.5" tall and sides are 25" from the back to the front corner. I realize that the definition of an antique is 100 years or more, I felt that this cabinet fell into the border zone to qualify. Even if it is merely 80 years old, the style and feel of the cabinet is that of an antique. I therefore felt that those appreciating and looking at antiques would be more likely to find it under that heading than under vintage.
