I am looking to buy, take-over, invest in, or partner in a business south of the Malahat. I have thirty-some years of corporate management and consulting skills, have built & sold several of my own ventures, and am nobody's fool. I have some money that needs to be put to work, and I have some time on my hands right now. I will look at venturing into specialty manufacturing, mechanical services, commercial or residential revenue property, elder-care, wellness; something with the some of the desired ingredients: consumable and/or recurring revenue, low overhead, high margin, hi-demand, no competition, growth potential. Maybe you have a business and don't know how to take it to the next step financially. Or maybe you have a real good idea but can't figure out the marketing by yourself. Or maybe you have been established for decades and your son isn't interested, or it is simply time for you to hang up the coat...Ideally you will have some semblance of books that go back a few years, either up or down in revenue. I don't really like hundreds of thousands of dollars of inventory. I am not interested in 'potential revenue' ideas (unless it is really mind-blowing), serving of food or booze, the retail of shoes, clothes, or cosmetics, hair or tanning salons.
