Zoe needs a New Home

We rescued Zoe a couple of years ago. She was very sick when we found her. It was obvious that she had been abused and had severe trust issues. Now after lots of love and medical care she is a happy, contented kitty. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, we can't keep her anymore. I could take her to the SPCA but, because of her past history I would prefer not to put her through the trauma of a kennel again. Zoe is fine around children, but she would be happier with an older person/couple. She would also probably be good with another pet. She was treated for suspected diabetes when we found her, however, we put her on a diet of Fancy Feast cat food (no carbs) in 4 small meals a day and she has been fine ever since. She has never had insulin shots. She has had all her annual checkups. Her blood sugar levels are always normal. Zoe is not a lap cat, but she loves to sit or sleep near you. She loves having her head and ears scratched. She prefers to stay inside or very near the house, unless you are also outside, then she is happy to be near you and watch you garden.
