Office Administrator / Sales Associate

Porter’s Wood Furniture Company has an opening for an office administrator. Full time job with working hours between 9 - 5 or 10-6, Monday to Friday. The primary focus of this position is office admin/bookkeeping, you will also act as a secondary sales associate when the store is busy with customers. Required Skills: -Looking for a detail orientated person who has strong organizational skills -Proficient with accounting software and general computer expertise (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel) -Ability to work well independently and as part of a team -Ability to multitask -Proficiency in written and spoken English -Ability to communicate effectively and present a positive, professional attitude -Previous experience working in customer service in an office/sales environment Qualifications -Post-Secondary degree with 2+ years experience in administration (preferred) -Certificate and/or diploma in Office Administration, Business and/or Accounting would be an asset Responsibilities: -Bookkeeping -Enter data and orders into our Accounting and Inventory Management System -Maintain awareness of current and upcoming orders by proactively monitoring all orders from quotes to invoicing and delivery -Maintain accurate records: process and enter data for quotes, orders, inventory, receipts, shipping and receiving -Maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents -Generating reports (sales, purchase orders, margins, profit, etc.) -Vendor management: Act as a liaison between Suppliers and Sales Associates -Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments (Sales, Delivery, etc.) -Provide thorough, efficient customer service and sales support -Answer phone and email inquiries, generate quotes and invoices, provide order updates, resolve complaints by providing solutions -Act as a secondary salesperson when the store is busy
