Both bikes used the new 800 twin engine but the F800GS was considerably taller and with dual brakes on the front and rated more horsepower at higher rpm. This has been well maintained, has about 31000 kms and excellent rubber, new chain and sprocket, front rotor and pads... It weights a lot less than the newer models which are now 850's. The lower seat height allows us shorter guys to flat foot it. The 800's out there are tall bikes and best fit over 6 foot guys... it cruises nicely at 120 to 140. I would like $6500 and have some more extras to go with it ... I think a 2021 replacement would be over $18000... The only reason I am selling - my shoulders are screwed up... just not touring anymore... it is ready for a trip... May be interested in a smaller light bike for short trips...
