Hello to all of you with the dream of becoming a lawyer! Step one is conquering the LSAT! The LSAT is a test that is not just assessing your analytical and logical skills, it also tests your psychology. Under pressure and time constraints, you need to be able to demonstrate your innate abilities, as well as your studied and practiced abilities. I start with a student by analyzing an LSAT test, looking for patterns. I do not charge for this initial consultation, but thereafter charge $65/hour, if doing a one hour session, or $60/hour if the session is 2 hours plus. I work one on one with each student. I address all aspects of the test taking process, including strategies for dealing with test anxiety. I am highly detailed oriented, as well as passionate about the learning process. Everyone learns differently and I figure out quickly how each student learns best. I share that with the student so she/he/they learn HOW to learn. This means that as we move through the process, I will be needed less. This process itself is empowering and confidence building. Writing any test with BOTH the skills needed, and the confidence, is a killer combination! I am a McGill graduate, and have helped many students achieve their goals. My background is in Math AND the Arts, so I bring both sides of the equation to the table. Learning is multi faceted, both scientific, and creative. I have developed methods you will not see in any other courses. This is because I am fascinated about HOW we learn, and I am able to adapt to any student's specific needs. As I mentioned above, I am passionate about teaching and and also learning. I look at "mistakes" as our brain telling us it needs more information. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or to set up a time to chat! Mia
