We are currently recruiting for Personal Support Workers for an active and dynamic middle-aged family man who has a spinal cord injury and lives in Victoria. This is an opportunity for someone who is looking for long-term, stable employment in a safe and positive environment. Our client is an easy-going, fun, happy and very likeable person. He is a professional in the tech industry and always puts his family first. Training: Experience as a Personal Support Worker is necessary, but you will be thoroughly trained to the client’s needs and preferences. Shift & Hours: • Monday, Wednesday & Thursday o 8:00 am to 4:00 pm • Sunday o 8:00 am to 11:00 am Compensation: • $23/hour Location: • Victoria (in Saanich) Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to): • Personal care including bathing, washroom care, dressing, grooming, feeding • Meal prep/cooking – we’re hoping you love cooking vegetarian food, Indian food, Mexican food and more! • Light housekeeping (including laundry) and generally helping around the house • Transfers (using XY ceiling lift) • Assistance with rehabilitation (range of motion, rehab exercises) • Assistance with the computer • Assistance with driving Requirements: • Must have a positive attitude and a sense of humor :) • Must be fine with cuddly cats • Willingness to cover additional shifts, as appropriate, of other team members to ensure continuous support for client throughout the year • Driver’s license strongly preferred • Formal training as a care aide preferred (but not necessary if you have sufficient experience) • Being vaccinated is a huge plus We thank all who apply, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
