Meet up mornings near Fort and Cook . Selling lots of good items at fair and firm prices,, click on my photo for listings. Well made to last, If you want something that will last for many years this is it! Made in Japan for Corning Designs. Chrome finish. I don’t know the age but that makes no difference to the quality. Actually the the thermal carafes made earlier are much better at retaining heat. They used better quality materials. There is a photo explaining the three dots in the bottom of the glass liner. Excellent condition, no stains, or dents or smells. There see a few “dimples” in the chrome if you look carefully but they aren’t dents. Very clean, It weighs about 1.5 pounds. The glass liner retains heat very well, quality made in Japan! It’s easy to use without removing the lid, just turn the lid counter-clockwise half way to the raised “dot” pointing to the spout, and to lock just turn clockwise. Pours really well without dripping! It even has a little flap that opens at the spout when pouring! I did a “heat retention” test by preheating the carafe and then putting boiling water (210F) water in.
