$19 · Community Residential Facility On-Call Worker

This is a 16 bed Community Residential Facility contracted by Correctional Services of Canada. We require an on-call relief worker who is available for morning, afternoon or overnight shifts. OVERNIGHT AVAILABILITY IS A MUST. Must also be available during holidays and summer months. Duties include supervising and offering support to the men whom have been granted a form of conditional release by the Parole Board of Canada. Persons with a diploma/degree in a related field will be given preference. Hours aren’t guaranteed and the number of shifts vary month to month. This position would be ideal for someone wishing to supplement his or her income with another job; a semi-retired person; or someone looking to gain experience. Students would have some flexibility to complete online schooling while on shift. The job revolves around criminology, sociology, mental health and addiction.
