Local Victoria excavating and trucking company looking for a full time journeyman mechanic and if you have an apprentice your working with bring them along too. Lots of work here. Company loosely consists of: 50+/- pieces of heavy equipment from diesel plate packers, 3 to 35 ton excavators, backhoes, rollers, dozers etc. 20 commercial trucks. Some dump, some water, single axle and flat decks 10 +/- trailers. Job generally consists of and requires: -Coordinating repairs with field staff, drivers as well as other mechanics and shops we use to best facilitate repair requirements. -Pre inspection for CVI -Coordinating cvi -Servicing commercial trucks/ equipment -Small engine repair -Some welding and fabricating -Yard/Shop management -Daily call outs for trucks or equipment -Sourcing/ Ordering parts as required -Evening and/or weekends should be expected. -some flexibility with hours. We work with a number of shops and contract mechanics currently and fully expect that to continue but there is much work that can be done in house.
