Title: Drywall Installer Terms of Employment: Permanent, 40 hours per week Wage: $28.50 per hour Available Positions: 10 Benefits: Disability Insurance, Dental Insurance, Extended medical insurance Work Location: Nanaimo, BC Language of work: English Company Profile: Lanson's Drywall Systems Ltd. serving their services across Vancouver Island and surrounding areas are looking for 10 drywall installers to join their team. We are looking for someone who can work well in a team and who has strong ability to adapt and pay close attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: • Measure, cut, fit, and fasten drywalls. • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists • Fill joints in-between drywallls with spackle by using trowels • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound • Smooth away excess material and imperfections • Apply second and third coats of compound and sand areas after each coat • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings Position Requirements: • Completion of secondary school • A combination of over three years of work experience and some high school, college or industry courses in drywalling or a minimum 3-year apprenticeship program in drywalling Contact information/how to apply: Email resume to: lansondrywall@gmail.com As an equal opportunity employer we encourage applications from all qualified individuals and specifically applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups – including Indigenous persons, vulnerable youth, newcomers, and persons with disabilities – who may contribute to the continued diversification of our organization.
