Jewish Ring

I purchased this ring but it was too big for me so I tried taking it to a Goldsmith to have its size reduced, the Goldsmith informed me that he could not resize it as if he did it would melt the enamel in the ring. It is a size 9. The first picture is from the website that I purchased it from and the second picture is the import fee I paid for a total of $1,168.56.
