The Victoria Firefighters association presents The 2nd Annual Victoria WingStock! We’re back baby! Who doesn’t love a good chicken wing?! How about wings, craft drinks, live music AND a good cause? Net proceeds from Victoria Wingstock will support the Victoria Firefighters Association’s chosen charities.

Habitat for Humanity Open a Door Charity Art Auction – May 12-24
Habitat Victoria’s annual art fundraiser Open a Door returns this spring, inviting local artists to creatively transform doors or small furniture pieces sourced from the Victoria or Westshore ReStores. Artists are free to use any materials or techniques to reimagine their selected item.
The finished works will be on public display at Mayfair Shopping Centre’s Centre Court from May 12–24, 2025. During this time, an online auction will run, allowing community members to bid on these one-of-a-kind creations. All proceeds from the auction will go directly toward Habitat Victoria’s efforts to build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership in our community.

Victoria Chinatown Lioness Lions Club Annual Paper Shredding Event – May 31
The Victoria Chinatown Lioness Lions Club is holding its Annual Paper Shredding Event Saturday May 31, 10 am – 1 pm at the Save On Foods Parking Lot at Fort and Foul Bay Road. 100% of proceeds are used to support local organizations , with a particular emphasis on our local community as well as women’s and children’s issues and needs and follows the principles of Lionism. Seaside Charity Road Hockey Tournament supporting Help Fill A Dream – June 7
Join us for the 9th Annual Seaside Magazine Charity Road Hockey Tournament, with proceeds supporting Help Fill A Dream! This one-day event brings together Dream kids, families, and the community for a classic Canadian experience – road hockey! Held at Iroquois Park in Sidney, enjoy a day of high-energy play as local teams face off. The fun continues off the pavement in the TD Family Fun Zone, featuring live entertainment, inflatables, community partner displays, and a by-donation BBQ. It’s a family-friendly festival for a great cause. Teams of 3-6 players (including a goalie) are guaranteed at least three games. Registration: $300 for one team or $500 for two. Drag is Art – May 29 – June 1
Drag Is Art is a four-day celebration of the art form of drag and the artists who bring these dazzling performances to life. Featuring four nights of shows from local and touring artists, including: ColourVision, featuring an all POC cast; Mouthfull, an evening of drag experiments; Drama Club, a campy and glamorous musical theatre extravaganza; and local business leaders and changemakers get in wigs and heels to hit the stage for the first time in drag at Diva Cabaret, a special fundraising cabaret. Healing Hearts Run supporting Pacific Perinatal Foundation – May 24
Join us for the Healing Hearts Run on Saturday, May 24th, 2025 at Royal Roads University.
Choose between a 2km or 5km run/walk to help raise funds and create awareness about the profound impacts of infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss.
The journey through perinatal loss is complex and the Pacific Perinatal Foundation believes no one should walk through it alone.

Wild ARC Online Raffle – now until May 28
Every year, the BC SPCA’s Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre (Wild ARC) holds a raffle to raise much needed funds for the care of injured, sick and orphaned wild animals in Southern Vancouver Island. Our annual raffle raises critical funds to make this lifesaving work possible. Be a part of making an impactful difference for wild animals in need and you could win one of SEVEN incredible prize package getaways!
Tickets start at $10 and are available until May 27th. Each raffle ticket purchase supports over 140 different species that arrive at Wild ARC annually like songbirds, waterfowl, raptors, mammals, reptiles and amphibians who need medical care in Southern Vancouver Island.
