Canadian College of Performing Arts presents Significant Other – October 16-19

The Canadian Heritage Arts Society and the Canadian College of Performing Arts will be kicking off their mainstage production season with the play ‘Significant Other’, by Joshua Harmon.

This play follows four 20-somethings living in the big city—but what happens to old friendships when love and marriage take centre stage? Follow Jordan Berman and his best friends as they navigate this new chapter of their lives through this hilarious and relatable romantic comedy about relationships and the growing pains of adulthood.

Ballet Victoria presents Aladdin – October 3-4

Souper Bowls of Hope supported Victoria Youth Empowerment Society – October 23

Join us on October 23rd from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for Souper Bowls of Hope! This celebration of community brings together hundreds of supporters to enjoy gourmet soups served in unique, hand-crafted bowls made and donated by local potters—yours to keep as a lasting reminder of your generosity. Beyond delicious food, the event features local art, live entertainment, and the warmth of community spirit, all in support of vulnerable youth in Victoria.

Every ticket helps provide essential meals, life skills workshops, and mentorship programs through the Victoria Youth Empowerment Society, giving youth the tools they need to thrive. Creative Craft Fairs – November 7-9

One of Vancouver Islands largest and most popular fairs showcasing over 125 professional exhibitors from all over British Columbia. Located at Pearkes Rec. Centre. 3100 Tilliucum Rd. Belfry Theatre presents Burning Mom – October 15 – November 23

A true story about taking a big bite out of life.

This is the story of Mieko Ouchi’s mother, Dorothy, and the pilgrimage she makes after the unexpected death of her husband. To the surprise—and distress—of her children, she announces that she wants to take the 26-foot-long RV that she and her husband purchased for a retirement tour and drive to the Burning Man Festival in the middle of the desert. It turns out to be an wonderful odyssey of self-discovery.
