This Made In Japan guitar from 1982 could be yours! It's been a bit beat up and well-played over it's 40 years, but it's still got a lot of life left. Yes there's some fret wear, but it's not noticeable when playing and honestly I've seen worse on 5-year-old guitars. Knobs and whammy bar are non-original (as are probably the pots and switches), but everything else is (including the Gotoh-made hardware). Condition is reflected in the price, as these are going in the $700-800 region on Reverb. All the controls work properly and cleanly. Master volume and tone, 5 way switch, and two mini toggles - one for a coil tap (these aren't noiseless pickups, but the tap lets you switch from an overwound Tele sound to a softer Strat sound), and the other for a series-parallel switch. It was re-wired recently with a couple reversible mods - first that the middle pickup's magnet and wiring was reversed to make it hum cancelling in position 2 and 4, and the original phase-reverse switch which sounded horrible was changed for a much more useful series-parallel switch for some humbucker-like tones. VERY versatile. Not really interested in trades, but might consider a hardtail Ibanez or Jackson of similar quality, or a 5-string bass with a wide neck. Local cash transactions ONLY!
