Logistics Supervisor

Terms of Employment: Full-time (40 hours per week) Wage: $25.50 per hour Available Positions: 2 Location: Saanichton, BC Language of work: English Company Profile: Thommy’s Express is a locally owned courier company that specializes in home delivery services for online retailers across the Greater Victoria region. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinating workflow within the department by monitoring supply and vehicle inventory as well as improving operational processes to maximize productivity; • Lead a team of delivery team members, supporting, coordinating, and evaluating their performance to ensure both individual and team goals are met; • Providing coaching, training, and orientation to logistics and delivery staff on the best practices and safety procedures of the company; • Monitoring daily delivery operations and make real-time resolutions where needed to ensure customer complaints are addressed and all orders are delivered as expected; • Oversee delivery vehicle fleet utilization, day-to-day fleet function, and identifying cost-saving opportunities; • Complete accurate and timely reports for management including attendance records, recruitment documentation, daily service performance evaluation, and customer service inquiries; • Ensuring that all equipment and vehicles are always in safe and efficient operating conditions; and • Performing the same duties of the delivery drivers as needed Position Requirements: • Completion of Secondary School • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics industry or delivery operations (e.g. Skip the Dishes, Uber Eats or Uber Driver) • Minimum 2 years of experience in supervising teams of 10-15 members • BC driver’s license is preferred • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and desire to proactively address challenges and improve processes Contact information/how to apply: Email resume to: tommysrecruits@gmail.com As an equal opportunity employer we encourage applications from all qualified individuals and specifically applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups – including Indigenous persons, vulnerable youth, newcomers, and persons with disabilities – who may contribute to the continued diversification of our organization.
