Driver/Swamper

McPherson Cabinetry is a dynamic growing cabinetry company; producing and installing cabinetry for multi-unit housing projects, new builds, renovations, and high-end custom homes in the Cowichan Valley. We are a dedicated & professional crew of over 15 employees strong, operating within a modern computerized shop. We are now seeking a great addition to our team! We are looking for a truck driver/shipper who would also be willing to learn basic shop work when not on deliveries. This is an entry level position and we will train. Responsibilities • Organizing and managing the shipping area • Driving our delivery truck. • Loading and unloading cabinets • Handle product safely and without damage • Operate equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner • Keep vehicle clean and tidy • Be accurate and neat in all duties • Other duties as required Qualifications • Valid drivers licence and clean driving record. • Experience in a cabinetry shop is preferred, but not required • Knowledge of tools and woodworking would be nice to have • Must be able to work in, and contribute to, a team environment • Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds • Must be energetic and have good communication skills • The biggest qualifications are a great attitude and aptitude!
