In-house bookkeeper position

MacPherson Adams, Chartered Professional Accountants, is a deep-rooted public accounting firm located in Greater Victoria and has been operating for over 40 years, specializing in accounting, tax and advisory services for individuals, companies, and trusts. We have a new part-time position available for an “in-house” bookkeeper as our firm continues to find ways to improve our service to clients. If you’re the one for us, you will be responsible for: • Full cycle bookkeeping for a broad range of clients, using third-party desktop and online accounting software applications (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, etc.) • Communicating with clients to assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping • Assisting in the preparation and filing of T-slips • Researching and implementing new third-party applications and technology to our current bookkeeping environment as those opportunities emerge If you’re the one for us, you should have: • Superb data entry skills • Expertise working with at least one accounting software application (QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage, or other). • An aptitude for technology, who can adapt to changing technology trends • The ability to form positive relationships with clients and fellow team members • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills • The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment • The ability to remain calm in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy • A mindset that is committed to continuous learning and personal growth We have great resources to help you further develop your skills in bookkeeping and accounting services.
