Out-of-School Care Workers

The Esquimalt MFRC is looking for one Out-of-School Care Worker and casual staff to join our Belmont Park, Colwood team for the 2024-2025 school year (September to June). We are seeking multiple candidates to fill several positions with shifts ranging up to 25 hours per week. Expected shifts would be between Monday and Friday, and the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The rate of pay for these positions is $21.00 per hour. Personal transportation is recommended due to limited bus service. To succeed in this role, you have: • Responsible Adult Certification. • A valid first aid certificate and CPR level of ‘C’ are required. • Experience working with children with behavioural challenges would be considered an asset. • Knowledge of the unique challenges of the military lifestyle would be considered an asset. • Bilingualism (English & French) would be regarded as an asset. • Minimum of 19 years of age. • A criminal record check is required. The Esquimalt MFRC regards the potential spread of communicable diseases as an issue of workplace health and safety.
