Solar powered camera mounts to a bracket that sits above the licence plate. Sunlight keeps it powered and it has an on/off switch to save the battery when you park in a garage. No-one can steal the camera as there is a small alan screw that has to be removed to take the camera off the licence plate. The first version did not have this feature. The 5 inch monitor sits on the dash and plugs into the cigarette lighter. There are no wires to hook up. I sold the car and the new car has a camera. It sells on Amazon for $219.
