Rock Bass Player

I'm an experienced guitar player (both gigging and recording) in his 50's that has gradually drifted into playing bass. I record my own originals and I've realized that playing bass is also something I enjoy, so I'm looking for a project to dip my toe into the "deep" end. My preferred style is blues/hard rock but I'm open to playing other styles too (think old school metal). I'd also be open to originals if they are close to these styles. I have a bass rig so I'd prefer a project that is currently up and running (or close to it), but I'm open to starting something from scratch if the material is particularly appealing to me.
