MEET UP MORNINGS NEAR FORT AND COOK Vintage 1960’s Made by Wm. Sadler. Beautiful Iridescent chocolate brown. Excellent condition, no chips cracks stains or damage of any kind. Same as it was 60 years ago! It holds 40 ounces, 5 measuring cups, 6 “teacups” (6 oz each). Weighs about 1.5 lb. Comes with a stainless steel tea infuser and a very thick homemade tea cozy purchased from a craft fair for $25, heavy cotton with thick padding. It is made from blue jean fabric and “patchwork” design trim on the bottom edge and along the seam that joins both sides. The inside is plain blue colour. I don’t think it was used but I’ve washed it anyway. The infuser is like new and fits perfectly. The lid can’t go on while steeping because of the infuser so I’ve included a brand new coaster to cover it while steeping with the cozy on. It’s coated on one side (aboriginal art of Australia) and cork on the other side. It’ll keep tea hot for a very long time. In April 2000 Sadler business and name (but not the works), along with designs and archives were purchased by Churchill China who continued the Sadler name on teapots and they’re all manufactured in China now. There is a large difference in quality of workmanship and material. So for the last 25 years Sadler teapots have all been made in China There is a large difference in quality of workmanship and material. If you’re looking for Sadler teapots made in England it must state “England” on the bottom or else it isn’t! It is the same as this one in the photo for $85.
