For sale from private collection this very small Ancient Greek CARIA Hemiobol. Caria was a region of western Anatolia extending along the coast from mid-Ionia south to Lycia and east to Phrygia. A Caria hemiobol is a small silver coin, a fraction of a drachma, minted in the ancient Greek region of Caria. These coins were typically 8mm in diameter and weighed around 0.48 grams.
