$1,250 · ISO: Dog friendly Studio Apartment

I'm a single student getting my biology degree online through Thompson Rivers University. I work as a full time postal worker and will be working full time tourism this summer on the water. I'm looking for a long-term space to call home for my 12 year old pug mix, Charles, and I. Interested in James bay, Fairfield, Oak Bay, Quadra Village, Vic West, or downtown. I am in the process of joining the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue out of Ogden so I would like to be 15 minutes driving distance from there. My 5 year plan involves applying and hopefully joining the Canadian Coast Guard. I am a baby Mariner and excited for my career. 30% of my gross monthly income is around $1250 so that is my ideal budget. I am responsible, quiet, community oriented, and have family in town to watch my dog if I am away from home for more than 3 hours.
