DRUMMER WANTED for gigging band (classic rock covers)

'Established', 4 piece classic rock band, with lots of gigs booked may be looking for an experienced reliable, committed weekly drummer. Should have some 'live gigging' under your belt please. But, hey, if you are a 'closet player' with some skills and a positive disposition, let's chat. This will take time commitment from you. Please make sure you have the time for this fun in your world before responding. We are 55 ish age range. All ages welcome though. It's gotta be fun folks....If it's not fun, we're doin' it wrong....! We rehearse most weeks and try our best to play the songs 'pretty close' to the original studio recordings. (proper solo's etc.) This is not a 'jam' band. We’re not a ‘tribute’ band either. We don't play originals...We're not that smart, lol. About the band: Been playing out for about 9 years. We have 4+ sets of songs down that we have performed multiple times and well received in front of multiple audiences. That's about as fun as it gets for an 'intermediate+' level band in this city! All of our tunes are, for the most part, dance-able, rock and roll that goes over well at almost any event. 70’s to 90’s era tunes mostly. We don’t play metal, rap, rolling stones (well, maybe one or two) or old worn out 50’s stuff…(usually we don't anyway) But....We are happy to play the worn out 60's / 70's / 80's and 90's stuff though.... because that's what most people want to hear and dance to these days. How do we know? We get re-hired everywhere we've played. We've learned that it's about what the audience wants, not what we want, lol. What you'll ideally bring to the band: A team player with your own drum kit (required for gigging) who loves to play and a willingness to practice the songs and take constructive criticism without being offended. What we'll bring to you: We'll supply the gigs, the promo, the lights, the PA system and the other 40 things required behind the scenes to run a reliable, fun, gigging band. Note, you don't have to be as good looking as the guy in the ad photo... Victoria area. If this is of interest to you, and you don't take yourself too, too seriously, (and you won't mind playing 'brown eyed girl'), please make contact, with a bit of info about yourself and experience. We'll work with you for however long it takes to get you up to speed......We'll start with 5 or 6 songs of your choice (from our list) and work them out slowly....Don't worry......We don't do any 'super advanced' stuff..... Then, we'll do a 'meet and greet' and see where it goes. Note that no one in the band is a smoker or big drinker. (just so you know) We are not guaranteed time in this world folks.
