Responsibilities: * Review of all project contractual documents to confirm scope of work. * Review project HVAC system and understand the design objective. * Review project shop drawings and ensure compatibility. * Review construction schedule and provide a list of deliverable dates to the detailing team, survey team, suppliers, subcontractors. * Manage coordination of modeled duct with all other trades noting conflicts and provide revisions back to the detailer. * Review and manage estimated man hours including breakdowns per floor/room. * Keep projects on schedule and review weekly hours on site versus estimated hours with management. * Identify LEAN improvements to project workflow and communicate to management. * Order, receive, and stage HVAC equipment and accessories from off-site to project. * Lay out, measure, and draw duct fittings for order, in accordance with Lewis Sheet Metal Standards. Job Requirements: * Proof of 10 years experience in sheet metal or HVAC * 5 years experience as a foreperson or superintendent managing at least 4 people * Respectful of all people * Valid Drivers License and abstract * Physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs * Proficient in computer applications * Manage job performance and expectations of employees * Manage multiple projects * Proficient email etiquette and file management * Excellent written and verbal communication, and discernment to know when each is appropriate * Experience with Autodesk software (AutoCAD, REVIT) an asset * CCA Gold Seal Training or equivalent is an asset * Mechanically inclined and has attention to detail. * Criminal record check may be part of the hiring process. Personal Strengths: * Highly organized with good project management skills, including personal organization systems to prevent time critical details from being forgotten. * Takes ownership of material and equipment delivery dates and plans ahead to ensure they are on time. * Effective time management skills, able to self-direct, and independently manages own workload, and strategic planning. * Demonstrates professional care and commitment to quality work. * Enjoys contributing to solutions rather than just identifying problems. * Holds other trades accountable to ensure the detailed model is maintained. * Strives to continually improve their workflow and work environment. * Has the capacity and ambition to develop into a senior superintendent.
