$4 · Alpine Strawberries Starts (trays of six), ready to go!

I've been cultivating alpine strawberries for the Victoria climate for years, and now I have some starts available for sale. These amazing little blueberry-sized strawberries are beyond delicious and very hardy for our region. The plants are also excellent ground cover, and even fend off some invasive species, staking their territory and sending out shoots around July and August to cover more ground. Also, we've never had any issues with vermin (rats, raccoons, etc) even paying attention to these berries, and thankfully, they also seem immune to the recent invasive bug, spotted wing drosophila, which seems to be hitting our raspberries and blackberries. From just six plants we planted 5 years ago on the rocky hill in our back yard, we are this year able to harvest about 3kg of these tiny gems, and probably left twice as many on the plants. I have five trays available today, at $4 each; will have another 5 trays in a week. Find us at the end of McNair Street in Victoria (it's just one block long, off Cook near Finlayson).
