A striking example of Italian modernist lighting, this sculptural floor lamp was designed by Angelo Lelli for Arredoluce in the 1960s. With its minimalist enameled steel column rising from a polished chrome base, the lamp balances bold architectural form with refined elegance—a timeless and collectible design statement. Three chrome spotlight heads are recessed within asymmetrical cutouts along the vertical shaft, each featuring magnetic, swiveling diffusers that allow for smooth, fully directional lighting. These floating chrome spheres are held in place by concealed magnets—an ingenious and rarely seen design element that gives the piece a futuristic, kinetic energy. A fourth concealed uplight adds an ambient glow, completing the lamp’s vertical composition. Five original knurled dimmer knobs are seamlessly integrated into the front panel, allowing individual control of each light source—offering both dramatic presence and exceptional flexibility. This model is exceptionally rare, especially in such original and working condition. A true icon of postwar Italian design, it reflects the visionary ingenuity that defined Arredoluce under Lelli’s leadership. It belongs in the same celebrated lineage as the work of Gino Sarfatti, Stilnovo, Arteluce, Gio Ponti, Achille Castiglioni, Ettore Sottsass, Ico Parisi, and Cesare Lacca—making it a must-have for serious collectors of Italian modernism. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Fully functional. Dimensions: 9.75”W × 9.75”D × 75”H Free local delivery available.
