Position: Junior Legal Assistant Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year * Liaise with lawyers on file progress and identify risks and red flags * Correspond with and follow-up with clients, realtors, banks, mortgage brokers, lawyers and notary publics. * Deal with clients directly to obtain information and answer basic conveyance related questions * Strata file, reviewing contracts, title searches and other legal documents * Draft sale, purchase and mortgage documents for residential conveyancing * Register documents electronically with the Land Title Office * Obtain, sort, file and verify documents for completion * Report to financial institutions and clients and follow-up on discharges * Organize and assemble due diligence searches * Close clients files and preparing file for offsite storageNo prior work experience necessary and we would provide training for the appropriate candidate.
