We are a small family owned business near the airport and we are seeking a skilled Sewer to join our team. We specialize in manufacturing interior and exterior upholstery products for the aviation industry, both domestic and internationally. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating and assembling various textile products within a workshop environment. The Sewer will work closely with other team members to meet production goals while maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This role is essential to ensuring high-quality production standards and timely delivery of finished goods. Duties -Operate industrial sewing machines and equipment to fabricate textile products according to specifications. We work with fabrics, vinyls, leather and foam primarily so experience with these is an asset. -Read and interpret patterns, blueprints, and work orders to determine the required materials and procedures. -Cut, sew, and assemble fabric pieces accurately, ensuring quality control throughout the process. -Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies, making necessary adjustments or repairs. -Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. -Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines. -Be able to communicate clearly and understand verbal instructions. Experience -Previous experience in a sewing or manufacturing environment is preferred. -Proficiency in operating sewing machines and understanding of various sewing techniques. -Familiarity with fabric types, patterns, and fabrication processes is a plus. -Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
