Hello! I’m Ellis. We are Dreamworld Panic (you can find us on instagram @dreamworldpanic), an active band with music released, and we play regular shows. We play art rock that leans on the heavier side, with influences like Radiohead, Black Country New Road and Gojira. Our music has a lot of big dynamics, and contrasting of dissonance and consonance. We consist of drums, bass, violin, guitar and synth. Our current bassist is going to be leaving us in a few months, because he has a lot of other commitments and doesn’t have the time for this project anymore. We’re all on good terms though! We have a single released, and plans to record more. I have a recording studio on my property that we use to rehearse, and we record all of our rehearsals, so we have good quality demos of all our songs. We’re set up to practice with in ear monitors with individual mixes for everyone. It’s a pretty great rehearshal space that we don’t have to pay for. We play on average one gig per month, and we’re going to be applying for festivals to play over next summer, and considering booking a small tour for late spring. We’re planning on branching out to play regionally a bit more, vancouver, nanaimo, possibly bellingham. We’re very serious about this project, so we’re looking for someone who can commit to two practices a week. We practice on Friday and sunday evenings, but we can also try to find other days that work for all of us. We’re all 19-25 so someone within that age range would be good (not necessarily required though) We’re looking for someone who can learn quickly be ear, our songs typically start with a demo from me that work up to play with the full band. On occasion though, we do write songs just starting from a jam. Our current bassist has offered to sit down with whoever our new bassist is to teach the songs, and get them up to speed. Anyways if this sounds like something you’d be into, please reach out! I can also send some demos so you can get a better sense of the music. Also check out our single, it’s Dreamworld Panic on instagram. Text or email! We also have this live performance video of one of our songs that tends to be a crowd favourite: https://youtu.be/6jUWE5hnjHU?si=QVs8GxuhdTG_Sapw
