Hand Building Pottery Class (2-parts)

Hand building ceramics with air dry clay is a great and affordable way to create functional art. Any products created will be water resistant without needing to be fired in a kiln. With the skills learned in this 2-class series you will have the foundations to teach others and build new creations of your own design. You will create your own ceramic candle, planted flower pot, and plant identification stakes. Class one: Construction - 3 hours ● Construct candle holder, flower pot and plant ID stakes using hand building techniques ● Once foundations of each product are finished you may add decorations with extra clay, examples in class will be provided ● Paint the 3 products (beginner-friendly, simple designs) ● Products will be left at Patio Gardens to be sprayed with water resistant spray (by the instructor) and left to air dry until the following class Class two: Painting - 3 hours ● Design your candle scent through creating a custom blend of essential oils and fill your candle ● Plant your flower pot with your desired plant selected from a variety of succulents or tropical plants All materials for both classes are included in the class series price.
