Meet Malibu (AKA: Boo) - she is a ~5.25 - 5.5 year old female Border Collie x Husky x Other (unsure of her full genetic history) mix. I am looking to find a new home for her to enjoy the rest of her life to the fullest. I adopted her in April of 2020 at ~8 months old, and she has been my closest furry friend ever since. However, after many years of training and commitment, I feel that Malibu may be better suited for a different living situation. Ideally, I am looking for a new owner or family with lots of land, or at least a fenced property in more of a rural area. The herding dog has always been a big part of her, but I don’t think living in the city is the best place for her to express it. Malibu isn’t very trusting of new people or most new dogs. She has bitten my friends before when they are entering the house, and continues to nip at their ankles/hands. She will often physically dominate other dogs around her size, and as such I cannot trust her off leash as much as I feel she needs to run freely. I have done my very best to keep her and other dogs/people safe from her strong personality, but I think a rural setting with a loving new owner that she trusts will be better for her. Once she is comfortable with a new person or dog, she is the sweetest and most gentle dog. I know that she would be a great dog for someone with the proper living environment and the patience for a dog with a stronger will than most. She is a protector at heart and very smart. She is good with cats. There is much more that I can share about Boo, and I am happy to do so over the phone or in person. I love her very much, and will not be rushing into anything. If this sounds like the right situation for you, and you feel you can provide Boo with her new forever home, please email me and I will share my phone number. A re-homing fee will apply to ensure this is the right fit for Boo, you and me. Thanks, Haiden
