D'Artagnan is an adorable, six-month-old boy full of energy. We recently rescued him from a family that had more than twenty cats and kittens. The family had adopted his grandmother, along with another kitten, without considering that a year later, both kittens might mate and have dozens of new little ones. Luckily for the cats, we met the family when the colony was still young and in good health. Otherwise, as we have seen happen in the past in hoarding situations, excessive inbreeding and overbreeding, plus genetically transmitted diseases and viruses act like sentences in a colony. The family who had D'Artagnan treated him and his siblings with love. They did not have the money to sterilize them, but they took care of them in the best way they could. So, we now have 23 (to date) very healthy cats and kittens for adoption. D'Artagnan and his two siblings, Aramis and Mylady are all happy, loving, playful, and cuddly kittens. Their foster parents love them so much because, as they say, they bring happiness to their home.
