The Renaissance is a locally owned retirement residence offering seniors independent living with delicious meals, housekeeping services, engaging entertainment, and more. Our bright and inviting dining room—featuring a baby grand piano, ample natural light, and classic antique artwork—creates an elegant, welcoming atmosphere. As a Cook at The Renaissance, you’ll work alongside our Head Chef, Hernando, gaining comprehensive experience in our kitchen. Presentation, portion control, and timing, paired with a relaxed and attentive dining room service, are all key to enhancing our residents’ daily lives and enjoyment. We’re looking for someone who will uphold the high standards set by our Head Chef since 1998—and elevate them even further. You’ll have access to the finest ingredients and benefit from excellent working hours (no late nights or early mornings), which is a distinct advantage in a retirement setting. Cooking for residents you get to know allows for a more customized touch (like serving pickles on the side). Importantly, you’ll also receive direct feedback on how much they enjoy each dish.
