This is the same year and model Steve Jones used on the iconic NMTB Sex Pistols album so it isn’t limited to loud, clean cowboy music. Don’t believe the hype around the blackface twins! The master volume on these 70s Silver panel Twin Reverbs is indispensable for getting great crunch and compression at tolerable volumes. The older Blacface Twins sound great in a stadium but this version is much more versatile and useful with a master volume. I’ve upgraded the speakers to a pair of high power Celestions but will include the original Oxfords. Comes with a nice sturdy tilt stand and a set of heavy duty locking casters if you want them. I just had the reverb circuit re-done at Marrs audio last week. I’ve put some very tasty vintage Dutch tubes from the mid 60s in the sockets that matter most. I replaced the big electrolytic filter caps with top quality German F&T capacitors a couple years back. I’m selling because I have a rebuilt Mark 3 Traynor that is basically the same circuit so I don’t need both amps right now. Definitely will miss this girl.
