Yamaha SBV-500 Flying Samurai bass in Sonic Blue * Cool 1960's Retro styling. * Rare. They just don't make these anymore. * Unique single coil sound, with more of a fretless tone up on the high frets. * Professionally gigged. * Was regularly set up and maintained by bass techs. * A few dings, scratches, and scrapes, but nothing really noticeable. * Bolt on maple neck, with rosewood fretboard. * Custom brass nut, suitable for left or right handed stringing. * Cavity is lined with high quality copper foil (no single coil hum). * Switched to using big Gibson pots, and everything has been professionally rewired and resoldered. * Kept the original Yamaha bridge intact for tonal reasons. * The bass is light, a bit shorter (20 frets), with a very fast neck. And it has a really unique tone. * It's a right handed bass, and is currently strung left handed, Jimi Hendrix style. But I can restring it for right handed players, if necessary, with a full set up and proper intonation. * A lot of bass for the money.
