Could be a Collector vehicle with a few tweaks. 181,544 miles (NOT kms) U.S. Car. Sold new in Chicago, USA. Brought into British Columbia, Canada in 2023. Located in Victoria on Vancouver Island. Three owners: 1st-1982 to 1989; 2nd-1989 to 2024; 3rd (2nd owner’s brother) from 2024 to 2025. Extensive documentation history: massive service records for last 43 years. The floors in the cabin and trunk are original and rust-free. BRAKES: Power 4-wheel disc brakes. BUMPER (FRONT): The front bumper is straight and rust free. COLOUR: Light ivory exterior (yellow), palomino interior. DASHBOARD: The dashboard is free of cracks. ENGINE: It is a U.S. Spec Mercedes; It runs very well and pulls really strongly. 2.4-Litre in-line-4 cylinder, OM616 diesel, 67 hp. EXHAUST: Secure, quiet, leak-free, and functions perfectly. GAUGES: All the gauges work. The odometer (in MPH) and speedometer-work; the clock keeps perfect time after nearly 50 years. GLASS: The factory Mercedes-Benz glass is original and perfect (no scars or cracks). HEATER: The heater and front defroster work very well, as does the rear-window electric defogger. HOOD: Hood and hood pad are in great shape. INTERIOR: M-B Tex and front and rear centre folding arm rests, adjustable front bucket seats, locking, lighted glove compartment. JACK and JACK POINTS: It has a working factory jack, lug wrench, and solid jack points. KEYS: It has original three factory keys and all factory books. LIGHTS: Halogen headlights, amber fog lights, left, right and centre parking lights. All turn signals work. The reverse lights and licence plate lights work. The four-way flasher works. MAINTENANCE HISTORY: A very thick, comprehensive body of records that would take hours to go through. MILEAGE: The odometer reads 180,544 miles (NOT kilometres) as of August 14, 2025. MIRRORS: It has left and right manually-adjustable outside mirrors. The interior rear-view mirror is in great condition. POWER STEERING, power brakes, central locking system, fully independent suspension, owner’s manual. RADIO: It has a fully-working original factory-correct Becker Europa radio-cassette with 4 speakers. The factory automatic/manual aerial on the left-rear fender works well. RUGS: All the rugs are in great shape. SEATS and SEAT BELTS: Seats are all original (M-B TEX) and in good shape; the 4 three-point seat belts and 1 lap belt are in good shape and all work. SUNROOF: No sunroof—which is a good thing in a classic W123. TRANSMISSION: Automatic 4-speed. TRIM: The body side-mouldings and stainless are excellent. TRUNK: Immaculate and dry. WEATHERSTRIPPING: The rubber door seals, trunk seals, etc. are soft, pliable and in great condition. WHEELS: 14 inch factory Mercedes aluminum wheels with all 4 paint-matched hubcaps. Rims are factory aluminum (not steel-See pic) for lower unsprung weight. The original spare and wheel were still in the trunk when I changed the tires. WIPERS: The wipers and squirters work well, as do the windshield washers. The wiper control stock has an intermittent and squirt function and two speeds. WOOD TRIM: The Zebrano wood trim is excellent: un-cracked, and shiny. RECENTLY SERVICED or NEW AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: Recently-serviced 4 speed transmission engages perfectly. BRAKES: It had new callipers, rotors, and a new master cylinder in June, 2025. The brakes are great. Also has new flex hoses. L-O-F SERVICE: It had an oil/lube/filter in May, 2025. STARTER: New starter in May, 2025. TIRES: Four brand new Kumho all-season tires (195-75-14). OTHER CONSIDERATIONS AIR CONDITIONING: Not working-probably needs a recharge or needs to be converted to use R134a refrigerant. BODY RUST: Has 2 very small surface rust spots on both sides of the left front door (See pics). BRAKE BOOSTER: May need a brake booster repair or replacement. BUMPER RUST (REAR):The rear bumper has rust from the exhaust (See pic). CRUISE CONTROL: Not working. May just need a fuse. LEAKS: Small drips from transmission and engine. LOCKS: The vacuum locks work, but - note - they work slowly.
