Very heavy duty cast aluminum tortilla press, made in Mexico, solid and will last forever! It weighs 5 & 1/3 lbs. It is far heavier than most on the market, I’ve looked up heavy cast iron ones ($33-$50) and they weigh less than 5 lbs. Weight is important in tortilla presses, see the photo explaining why. The heavier they are the better they perform and the more expensive they are. There is a stain from something inside as shown, but it’s very clean and you can’t feel anything. I have no idea what it is and the price reflects. It is just cosmetic as either plastic or wax paper is always used under and on top of the dough to make tortillas with the press. Most of the ones on the market are about half the weight and twice the price!
