$700 · Historical Collection of Framed Nautical Artwork

This noteable collection comprises 11 pieces of nautical artwork featuring ships from the 1800s painted by Jack Hardcastle, who resided in Nanaimo. Hardcastle's paintings are highly prized by collectors and typically sell for $200 to $750. The limitations of this platform limit the number of images to 8. The largest of the paintings measures 40" x 28.5" with a beautiful mahogany finish frame. The second largest piece, depicting the U.S.S. constitution is enclosed in an ebony frame and measures 24" x 20". The remaining nine smaller paintings measure 12" x 10" and feature medium-toned wood frames. All of the smaller pictures carry the descriptions of the vessels on the back noting their routes and cargos. Viewings may be arranged by appointment with the Oak Bay United office Tuesday to Friday, between 9 am and 2 pm. Or, drop in to our weekly Thrift sale on Fridays between 10 am and 1 pm (no appointment necessary)! Emails will be answered during office hours.Subject to prior sale.
