50th Anniversary (1975) MGB Roadster in good running condition. This '75 MGB MkIV Roadster with BC Collector status was purchased in Vancouver in early 1976 by the proverbial ‘little old lady’, and I actually have the original dealer sale documents! It is up for sale ‘because I’m getting old’ and I also have a ’69 MGB-GT and a ’52 TD still ‘in restoration’. The car was obviously well maintained throughout its life. I bought it a few years ago, after It had been ‘sitting in a tent’ for 4 years after the original owner died. I cleaned it, flushed the fuel tank, gave it an oil change and new oil filter, topped up other fluids, tightened the fanbelt, replaced the battery and sparkplugs and got it running. I replaced the cracked windscreen and rear muffler and fitted a new MOSS oil-cooler, new wiper blades and two new MOSS headlight buckets & sealed beams. The twin SU HIF4 carbs have been overhauled. Speedo repaired. New radio aerial mounted in left front panel. Dash is in very good condition. All instruments, gauges, switches are working. Working, era-correct 1980’s 4-track tape/radio (Blaupunkt). Upholstery (seats, panels and carpeting) are in good condition. Rostyle rims and good Michelin 185/70/R14s + spare. The car has been completely repainted, and it looks great! All glass and trim is good. There was ‘some rust in the usual places’ on the front fender sills and castle-rails, so both front fenders have been refurbished with new MOSS repair panels and splash panels. Underside rust spots were treated and cover plates fitted under the floorpan where necessary. It starts easily and runs smoothly and it drives perfectly straight on the highway at 100 kph, with no sideways drift when the steering wheel is released, even while braking! Currently fitted with a hardtop.
