Customer Service/Computer Technician DTI Computers Inc. is a local Greater Victoria retailer of computer systems, parts and accessories as well as computer service and repair. Our goal is to help our clients with their computer needs and service with people that are knowledgeable and enjoy working with computers and technology. Applicants are required for full time positions and available days and weekends preferred. You will be responsible dealing and helping with customers on an ongoing basis, providing support and solutions for a wide range of questions and technical issues. You will need to be well-versed in computer software and systems as well as PC hardware and common peripheral devices. The ability to problem-solve and demonstrate a high level of customer service and professionalism in dealing with clients is essential. Responsibilities: · Sales and service for various retail and business clients · Computer diagnosis and repair · Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, operating systems and applications · Repair, upgrade and installation of hardware and software for PC systems · Offer technical support and knowledge to clients to help with issues Qualifications/Key Competencies: · 1 year+ of relevant computer repair experience in a retail environment preferred · High school diploma or equivalent preferred · Knowledge of computer parts and accessories · Soldering Knowledge Preferred · Power and Signal Data Tracing Knowledge Preferred Working knowledge of: · Microsoft and Mac OS Operating Systems · PC Hardware · Common peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, internet routers etc. · Networking · Common Office Applications Full-time, Permanent Salary: From $16.50 per hour
