Care aide

I am looking for a part-time and on-call care worker / personal assistant to help my elderly mother for 4 hours on Wednesday afternoons in her home. (1:30 - 5:30 pm.), I also need some Sunday evening shifts and occasional on-call work. More 4 hour shifts may become available. My mother needs help transferring to and from a wheelchair to a commode chair and bed (and back). Some personal care and assistance is required (e.g. in bathroom and with dressing). No lifting is involved - transfers are assisted with a ‘Sara Stedy’ (easy to learn, and training provided.) This work is light and easy, and my mother is kind, intelligent and independent. No experience is necessary, although preferred. You may be asked to help with some light housekeeping such as laundry and kitchen help. You will need a vehicle or transport, as the home is located in the Hartland area and would suit someone in the Prospect Lake neighbourhood (Royal Oak or Brentwood).
