Full job description Job Opportunity: Yacht Detailer (Fall Season: September – end of October) Are you passionate about boats and yachts? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a knack for making vessels shine? We are currently seeking a skilled Yacht Detailer to join our team for the fall season, from early September up to the end of October. About Us Our company provides top-notch yacht management and maintenance services to most of the major marinas in southern Vancouver Island. We strive to provide our clients with the best service and best results possible. We are looking for someone who wants to join our fun team and work hard and fulfill the busy boating seasons. Job Description & Skill Requirements; Basic boat knots and simple boating tasks Application of waxes and compounds to paint & gel coat Detailing and cleaning yachts of all shapes and sizes Keeping track of products you are using and using products efficiently Time management and maximizing work hours Working with the team and being a team player Can handle working at heights on larger yachts Odd jobs; Vacuuming, carpet cleaning, caulking, painting..etc. If you have prior waxing or polishing experience, we will negotiate a higher rate of pay. Showing up to the different marinas and having your own car is very preferred. Being on time, and being at work on scheduled workdays is an absolute must as other team members will be relying on you to get the job done on time. Jobs completed efficiently and on time can receive tips. This job entails hard work and manual labor. Most working days are in the hot sun, and holding 10 lb polishing equipment for multiple hours. This job is not for people who can't handle hard work and good fun. We need strong, energetic candidates who can stay focused on the task at hand and work hard through the challenges. We are only hiring a limited few to join our crew and if you are one of the chosen ones, rest assured we treat our employees like family. All we ask in return is that you work hard and take pride and care in your work while on our client's boats. Previous work experience in the following areas will help but not required; Painting , landscaping , window cleaner , labourer , auto detailer , pressure washers , cleaners , carpenters...etc. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $21.00-$25.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay Tips Application question(s): Please specify your age so we know which manager to set you up with for the interview.
