This machine has a mechanical problem with the handwheel ( “The hand wheel, also called a flywheel or balance wheel manually controls the needle. Turn the hand wheel to raise or lower the needle and manually move the feed dogs as well”.) - probably the drive belt. - (“When your sewing machine handwheel refuses to turn, you’re dealing with one of three culprits: tangled thread beneath the needle plate, lint clogging the mechanism, or a worn drive belt that’s lost its grip.”) Otherwise it is a wonderful sewing machine. It still stitches very well, if you work it manually, so i know its not ready for the landfill. I dont really need it so if you want to get Bill Murray to repair it for about $40, ive already had the estimate from him. ( or do it yourself) you will have an excellent machine that will last forever. Its older, so well made, very heavy sturdy machine, better made than a new one.
