Loki is a 2 year old Bernese mountain dog/lab/border collie mix. This has been an absolutely heart wrenching decision but I feel our home has become too stressful for him. Loki has always been wonderful with my sons and I but my husband has never warmed up to him and Loki is reacting to the tension between them. We are worried that the increased anxiety and stress that Loki experiences may eventually result in one of our children being bitten (not out of meanness but out of anxiety). Loki has grown up around kids, cats and chickens. I do not recommend a home with children as Loki is an anxious dog but he is wonderful with our cats and chickens and I think he would be fine in a home with other dogs. (He has spent time at my babysitters home with her dogs and has been great). Loki is an extremely affectionate dog who just wants love and attention. If I felt there was another alternative I would never let him go. I think he would be a wonderful dog to have on a farm or where there is a large yard. I do not think he would do well in an apartment or trailer. Loki is crate trained and would come with food, treats and toys.
