This beautiful vintage sewing machine, circa 1920 appears to be the famous Model 99 hand with hand crank sewing and intact oak carrying case. The unit tilts to reveal storage below and the top case incorporates a handy carrying handle. The folding hand crank operates the sewing machine smoothly. The Model 99 is reputed to be the first real portable sewing machine and was produced from 1911 to 1960 in basically the same style. Viewings may be arranged by appointment with the Oak Bay United office Tuesday to Friday, between 9 am and 2 pm.
