Low-Mileage Collector Classic: Series I, 1977 Mercedes-Benz W123. 230 GAS An economical way to get into one of the best saloons of the 1970s and 1980s. This is a car for someone who really knows and understands W123s. The previous owner had it on Collector Plates; I am getting it ready to re-qualify for Collector Plates. Drive it home; drive as is. I drive it everywhere when the weather is good; just drove it up to Cobble Hill and back (accelerates very well; cruises nicely up to 110 km all day). The new owner can drive it anywhere while "sorting" out the things which need fixing. Has a few minor issues that need “sorting.” Although it drives well, the automatic transmission will eventually need rebuilding. It shows 89,000 miles (not kilometres).
