$4,700 · Ford Explorer Sport 4,0 SOHC 1998 + Camping gear

Hi everyone! I bought this Ford just 6 months ago. I'm leaving the Island and looking to sell it. The previous owner put on new winter tires just before selling. A few things to note: There seems to be an issue with the O2 sensors – I did a diagnostic test because the Check Engine light was on when I bought it, but I’ve had absolutely no issues while driving, so I didn’t replace them. The mechanic said they’re probably just dirty. In May, I replaced the serpentine belt, air filters, wiper blades, and the hood and rear door struts. The A/C and electric windows are working fine. The 4x4 works excellently, as does the differential lock – tested in deep snow and mud. There are a few dents and scratches on the left side, but they don’t affect functionality in any way and there’s no rust forming around them. The car drives really well – it served me perfectly both on the island and during road trips through the Rocky Mountains. I’m very sad to let it go. The engine is powerful enough – it handled a fully loaded car with 4 people on board without a single issue! Feel free to come take a look anytime – I’m located near UVic.
